Her graduating class was a whopping 47 kids.<\/p>\n Adams is a farming community, and Morgan was raised by parents who came from a long line of farmers. The family operated a meat processing plant.<\/p>\n Morgan has been married to Chuck Morgan for more than 30 years. She met the mobile homes salesman while attending the University of Tennessee<\/a>. The two married in 1993.<\/p>\n Morgan describes her husband<\/a> as being an introvert and a self-starter, which balances out her\u00a0more creative tendencies. “I’m an underachiever and I haven’t done much right, but I’m fun,” she says in her Netflix special I’m Every Woman<\/em>.<\/p>\n The\u00a0comedy queen and her husband Chuck are parents to three children<\/a>, a son and two daughters, and two grandchildren.<\/p>\n Their son Charlie was born Aug. 19, 1993, with Maggie\u00a0following\u00a0on April 3, 1996 and Tess on Jan. 20, 1998.<\/p>\n Charlie married his college sweetheart in 2026 and the couple have since welcomed two sons. She weaves humor into her stories about everyday life using her rural Tennessee upbringing to draw people in.<\/p>\n Her Southern accent is thick like white sausage gravy on a biscuit, which is relatable.<\/p>\n Performing on stages across the globe was not in Morgan’s life plan, but it’s funny how life works out.<\/p>\n After becoming a mother, she kept herself busy as a jewelry saleswoman<\/a>. She noticed she had a knack for making people laugh as she shared stories and jokes with her clients. With their support, she started picking up weekend gigs doing standup comedy.<\/p>\n Morgan was named one of Variety\u2019<\/em>s Top 10 Comics to Watch for 2023, the same year her Netflix special launched.<\/p>\n Prior to that, her standup comedy was gaining steam on social media. Morgan had been sharing pieces from her sets on her YouTube channel<\/a>, with some reaching more than a million views.<\/p>\n Her “Mom Comedy” video has amassed 3.6 million views.<\/p>\n In addition to her success as a comic, Morgan has also written and published a book.<\/p>\n What in the World?!: A Woman’s Guide to Laughing at Life’s Unexpected Curveballs and Beautiful Blessings<\/em><\/a> was released in Sept. 2024. In it, Morgan shares about her life and what it’s like to be a woman today dealing with perimenopause, diet trends and more.<\/p>\n Her star has continued to\u00a0rise since her Netflix special blew up. The\u00a0comedian made her film debut in the 2025 film You\u2019re Cordially Invited<\/a><\/i> starring Reese Witherspoon and Will Ferrell. She plays a character named Gwyneth, the older sister of Witherspoon’s Margot, in the romantic comedy.<\/p>\n In 2025, Morgan got the green light for a comedy series on Netflix. The show, Leanne<\/a><\/em>, is named after her, and she plays the main character.<\/p>\n The character Leanne looks to navigate life after her longtime husband leaves her for another woman.
