\n\tMachine Gun Kelly<\/a>\u2018s new album Lost Americana<\/em> is here (you know, the one Bob Dylan casually narrated the trailer<\/a> for). While fans are already mining for details about his personal life in the songs, the musician addressed some aspects himself on The New York Times<\/em>\u2018 Popcast.<\/em><\/p>\n \n\tOn the podcast, MGK revealed that the penultimate track \u201cTreading Water\u201d is about his time in rehab in late 2024 (he first went to a facility in 2023<\/a>). \u201cI wrote this in Room Three, spending Christmas in rehabilitation\/I got no phone, just a cell that I\u2019m trapped in while my home\u2019s vacant,\u201d he sings on the bridge. <\/p>\n \n\tIn another verse, he seems to address his on-off relationship with Megan Fox<\/a>. \u201cThis\u2019ll be the last time you hear me say sorry \/ That\u2019ll be the last tear you waste on me crying \/ I broke this home,\u201d he sings. \u201cJust ruined their holiday, and lies don\u2019t die, they grow \/ And everything you try to hide eventually shows.\u201d<\/p>\n \n\tThough he told the podcast that the music \u201cspeaks better than how I would be able to articulate it,\u201d he did open up more about his rehab stay and split from Fox, with whom he\u00a0had a daughter<\/a>.<\/span> \u201cHere\u2019s the real truth,\u201d he said. \u201cI spent Christmas and New Years \u2014 the whole month of December and late November \u2014 in a rehab facility. I came out, the world was very loud about me and my personal business. Ironically, neither me or Megan have said anything. Still, to this day, there could have been zero drama, and you would never know, \u2019cause none of us have said one thing. It\u2019s all claims and things that have happened out of our control.\u201d<\/p>\n
