\n\tBrandon Blackstock died<\/a> of skin cancer. On Monday, the Silver Bow County\u00a0Coroner, Dan Hollis, confirmed to Rolling Stone<\/em> that Kelly Clarkson<\/a>\u2018s ex-husband died of melanoma on Aug. 7.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cHe passed away peacefully at his home in Butte, Montana, on August 7th under hospice care, surrounded by his family,\u201d Hollis told\u00a0Rolling Stone<\/em>, confirming that he died naturally.<\/span><\/p>\n

\n\tShortly after his death<\/a> at 48, the talent manager\u2019s family shared a statement announcing his death, but shared few details about his illness. \u201cIt is with great sadness that we share the news that Brandon Blackstock has passed away. Brandon bravely battled cancer for more than three years,\u201d Blackstock\u2019s family said. \u201cHe passed away peacefully and was surrounded by family.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tThey added: \u201cWe thank you for your thoughts and prayers and ask everyone to respect the family\u2019s privacy during this very difficult time.\u201d The Blackstock family said they would not be commenting further about Blackstock\u2019s death.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe news of Blackstock\u2019s death came just a day after Clarkson\u00a0postponed<\/a>\u00a0several Las Vegas residency shows to be \u201cfully present\u201d with her family and kids while Blackstock dealt with his illness, which had not been made public. \u201cWhile I normally keep my personal life private, this past year, my children\u2019s father has been ill and at this moment,\u201d she wrote on Instagram on Wednesday before he died.<\/p>\n

\n\tBlackstock and Clarkson\u00a0started dating in 2012. They married\u00a0in 2013 and had two children: a daughter, River, born in 2014, and a son, Remington, born in 2016. Blackstock was also the former stepson of Reba McEntire, who was married to his father Narvel Blackstock at the time. Blackstock also had two children, Savannah and Seth, from a previous marriage. He became a grandfather in 2022 when his eldest child, Savannah, had a son.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n
