Many emotional tributes have been shared on social media since Brandon Blackstock<\/a>\u00a0died\u00a0last Thursday (Aug. 7).<\/p>\n The talent manager lost his battle with cancer, leaving a void for many, including his first wife, Melissa Ashworth Wells.<\/p>\n Ashworth Wells wrote a lengthy message about the father of her now-adult children, Savannah and Seth.<\/p>\n She also shared two special photos: One of Blackstock with his children, Savannah’s husband Quentin and their son Lake, and the other from the day Blackstock and Ashworth Wells were married.<\/p>\n Her words are filled with love as she praises the man Blackstock was, while thanking everyone for their support during this time.<\/p>\n “On May 29, 1999 I married the man who would become the father of my children,” she writes in the caption. “Brandon was full of charm, wit and just an absolute gentleman who happened to wear cowboy boots, wrangler jeans, and a cowboy hat.”<\/p>\n “He was by far, hands down, the best Daddy and Pa. He loved hard and he fought hard,” she continues.<\/p>\n “The best thing Brandon has left for his children is they know where he is. I\u2019ve heard it said, ‘Nothing is lost when you know where it is’ and Brandon is with Jesus his Savior.”<\/p>\n “Savannah, Seth, and our grandchildren are the best parts of who Brandon and I are. Thank you all for your prayers and condolences.”<\/p>\n Blackstock and Ashworth Wells were married on May 29, 1999.\u00a0 Their marriage lasted until 2012<\/a>, when they divorced.<\/p>\n Blackstock married Kelly Clarkson<\/a> in October of 2013<\/a>. The two were married until 2020, when the singer filed for divorce.<\/p>\n Their split was finalized in 2022. They also have a daughter and a son together.<\/p>\n People<\/em> reports that Ashworth Wells was very fond of Clarkson and approved of her becoming stepmother to her children. “I love Kelly,” she told the publication in 2013. “I’ve known her for years and I couldn’t ask for a better stepmother for my children.”<\/p>\n Blackstock\u00a0has four children: Savannah is now 23 years old and married to Quentin Lee. The couple have a son named Lake and they just announced they are expecting their second child earlier this year.<\/p>\n Seth is Blackstock and Ashworth Wells’ second child, who is 18 years old.<\/p>\n The late talent manager also shares two children with Clarkson: Their daughter River is 11 and their son Remington is 9.<\/p>\n It’s a sorority you never want to be a part of.
