It might soon be time to say bye bye to Crocs, as their stock plummeted 30 percent\u00a0last Friday (Aug. 8).<\/p>\n
Experts are predicting the end of the “ugly shoe” trend in America.<\/p>\n
This all comes as Crocs had promised growth in Q3.<\/p>\n
On the contrary,\u00a0Business of Fashion<\/a>\u00a0reports they’ll actually be looking at a revenue loss of 9 to 11 percent.<\/p>\n The stock drop was the largest one-day stock dip in the company’s history (2011). Andrew Rees, the chief executive, believes\u00a0Americans\u00a0are being\u00a0“super cautious; they\u2019re not purchasing, they\u2019re not even going to the stores, and we see traffic down.”<\/p>\n Rees\u00a0says that the swift decrease in revenue and orders, both from consumers and retailers is “concerning.”<\/p>\n Depending on what kind of investor you are, this might be the time to either load up on Crocs stock.<\/p>\n The thing about Crocs that originally made them popular was the ability to wear them around water \u2014 they’re great for lounging by the pool or a trip to the beach. Plus, the holes let your feet breathe.<\/p>\n But by the peak of the pandemic, people were wearing them everywhere \u2014 they wanted to be comfortable \u2014 but at church, for crying out loud?!<\/p>\n Crocs always have and continue to do a fantastic job with their marketing and collaborations.
