Hey Kirsten! And hey, Kensli and Marli. You know, family is one of the biggest things for me, for her, for my kids, for my mom and dad. So I think the most important thing for anybody that\u2019s having to navigate that is making sure you keep an environment for the kids where they understand that\u2019s the priority.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Chance also revealed that his song \u201cSpace and Time\u201d is about his family: \u201cI think it\u2019s a very personal song about, you know, what we were just talking about, navigating that relationship with the mother of my children.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><iframe class=\"optanon-category-C0003\" style=\"aspect-ratio:16\/9; width:100%; height:auto; display:block;\" data-src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube-nocookie.com\/embed\/Ls-KdagcKCs\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p><a class=\"underline-link\" href=\"https:\/\/hiphopdx.com\/news\/chance-the-rapper-announces-release-date-star-line\/\">Chance the Rapper recently announced a release date<\/a> for his long-awaited second album <em>Star Line<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>According to the rapper\u2019s website, Star Line will be released on August 15 and fans can pre-order the album in various formats now.<\/p>\n<p>Chance has not yet unveiled a tracklist for the project but did recently drop a song with Lil Wayne and Smino although it is not yet known if it will make the album.<\/p>\n<p>It will be his first album since 2019\u2019s\u00a0<em>The Big Day<\/em>\u00a0which was not well received by fans.<\/p>\n<p><a class=\"underline-link\" href=\"https:\/\/hiphopdx.com\/news\/chance-rapper-star-line-album-delay-threat-fan-gripe\">The Chicago rapper has been teasing a project entitled\u00a0<em>Star Line<\/em>\u00a0<\/a>for a while but announced that he was putting it back because he didn\u2019t like how fans were talking about his work.<\/p>\n<p>In a video posted on Instagram last year, the Chance laid out his issues with his followers referring to his upcoming project as \u201cthe album\u201d and not its official title when interacting with him on social media.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAlright, so this was the main point I was trying to make: stop calling it \u2018the album,\u2019\u201d he said while riding on his tour bus. \u201cAnd I don\u2019t mean that in an ungrateful way. I\u2019m grateful that people are putting in my comments, \u2018Drop the album.\u2019<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI\u2019m not finna drop the album until y\u2019all start calling it\u00a0<em>Star Line<\/em>. I\u2019m not gonna drop the project, I\u2019m not gonna do these installations \u2014 I got so much shit ready.
