Jelly Roll<\/a> has teamed up with the Grand Ole Opry<\/a> to do something big for Nashville.<\/p>\n Jelly\u00a0will be playing two shows on Monday, Sept. 22, at the Opry\u00a0to raise money to benefit the Nashville community and some charities\u00a0that ring close to his heart, the Judge Dinkins Educational Center<\/a> and the Buddy DeFord Charitable Fund<\/a>.<\/p>\n Jelly Roll\u00a0\u2014 whose real name is Jason DeFord\u00a0\u2014 started the Buddy DeFord Charitable Fund to honor his late father, Buddy, and to support nonprofits addressing some of the most pressing issues facing the community.<\/p>\n The Judge Dinkins Educational Center was created by the prosecutor who charged Jelly for crimes when he was a kid, Judge Jim Todd.\u00a0Since then, they\u2019ve worked side-by-side to provide resources that enable youth to\u00a0change their lives for the better.<\/p>\n The “Save Me” singer is bringing friends for these two shows at the Opry:\u00a0Bailey Zimmerman<\/a> and Graham Barham.<\/p>\n If you are going to purchase your tickets in advance, that’s fine, everything is already set up and good to go on the Opry’s website<\/a>.<\/p>\n If you buy tickets to this show now, a portion of the proceeds will still go to the JDEC and the Buddy DeFord Charitable Fund.<\/p>\n But wait, there’s more…<\/p>\n Anytime Jelly performs at the Opry from now through\u00a0September 2026, portions of the ticket sales will also go to the same two organizations.<\/p>\n Since cannonballing into country music in 2021, Jelly has shown that helping America’s youth and giving back to communities is one of his main goals.<\/p>\n As the light shines on him he redirects it to struggling folks who need it more, and for that we will forever love Jelly Roll.<\/p>\n Jelly Roll is 40 years old.
