The singer was just revealed as the sole feature on <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/t\/taylor-swift\/\" id=\"auto-tag_taylor-swift\" data-tag=\"taylor-swift\">Taylor Swift<\/a>\u2018s newly announced album, <em>The Life of a Showgirl<\/em>. Of course, she\u2019s totally freaking about it.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-line-height-copy  lrv-a-font-body-l   \">\n\t\u201cI know someone who\u2019s freaking out and it\u2019s me,\u201d Carpenter wrote in her <a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/sabrinacarpenter\/\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/sabrinacarpenter\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">Instagram<\/a> story sharing the news.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-line-height-copy  lrv-a-font-body-l   \">\n\tA feature on Swift\u2019s 12th album would be a big deal for anyone, but it\u2019s especially momentous for Carpenter, who has idolized the superstar for years. \u201cI hold her to such a different echelon,\u201d she told <em><a data-id=\"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/music\/music-features\/sabrina-carpenter-espresso-short-n-sweet-taylor-swift-1235036627\/\" data-type=\"link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/music\/music-features\/sabrina-carpenter-espresso-short-n-sweet-taylor-swift-1235036627\/\">Rolling Stone<\/a><\/em> last year. \u201cI could never compare my life, my career, my trajectory to anything close to what she\u2019s done,\u201d she added. They played a lovely mash-up of Carpenter\u2019s smash hit \u201cEspresso\u201d along with Swift\u2019s \u201cIs It Over Now?\u201d and another <em>Short \u2018n Sweet<\/em> track, \u201cPlease Please Please.\u201d After the performance, Swift sang Carpenter\u2019s praises. \u201cShe\u2019s as real as they come and I\u2019m so thankful she did that for us,\u201d she wrote on Instagram about the surprise performance.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-line-height-copy  lrv-a-font-body-l   \">\n\tThe feature marks the first musical collaboration between Swift and Carpenter and comes at the perfect time for the young singer.
