\n\tJohn Lennon<\/a> and Yoko Ono<\/a>\u2019s most political musical era, when the pair moved to New York City in 1971, is the focus of a massive upcoming box set featuring over 90 unreleased recordings.<\/p>\n \n\tPower to the People (Super Deluxe Edition)<\/em> \u2014 releasing via\u00a0Capitol\/UMe\u00a0on\u00a0October 10, one day after Lennon would have been 85 \u2014\u00a0 collects recordings from 1969 to 1972, from their 1969 bed-in anthem \u201cGive Peace a Chance\u201d to their One to One concerts at Madison Square Garden, Lennon\u2019s only full shows after leaving the Beatles, and the last concerts Lennon ever performed.<\/p>\n \n\tThe \u201cSuper Deluxe\u201d box set features 12 discs \u2014 nine audio and three Blu-ray \u2014 and was compiled and produced by their son Sean Ono Lennon. \u201cI was completely floored putting this collection together and getting to remix the concerts and hearing all the unreleased material from my parents\u2019 archive for the first time,\u201d\u00a0Sean Ono Lennon said in a statement.\u00a0<\/p>\n \n\t\u201cPeople may not realize how special it is for me to hear my dad talking or to see him. I grew up with a set number of images and audio clips that everyone\u2019s familiar with. So to come across things that I\u2019ve never seen or heard is really deep for me, because it\u2019s almost like getting more time with my dad. When I was eleven, my mum put out the\u00a0Live in New York City\u00a0album and film. So I grew up listening to it.
