Kid Cudi<\/a> has opened up about being dissed by Drake<\/a> while he was in rehab for drug addiction.<\/p>\n Drake took aim at Cudi on 2016 track \u201cTwo Birds, One Stone\u201d which mocked the \u201cPursuit of Happiness\u201d rapper\u2019s struggles with mental health, a move which was poorly received by fans.<\/p>\n Speaking to CBS Mornings<\/em><\/a>, Cudi detailed his reaction to the song: \u201cI was like, oh okay, you wanna kick me when I\u2019m down. Great. But he wanted to play the game with me. He wanted me to put him in my song or whatever and I\u2019m not that type of artist.\u201d<\/p>\n He then explained that he never intended to respond to Drake on record: \u201cI\u2019m not going to the studio angry rapping about some other man and putting him in my art. That\u2019s not what we\u2019re gonna do here. I\u2019m gonna come to your doorstep and I\u2019mma let you know that I\u2019mma see you. I\u2019mma see you and that\u2019s a promise.\u201d<\/p>\n Cudi reveals he and Drake patched things up in 2021 but that the 6 God ghosted him afterwards: \u201cI went on to do a record for him for his album, but granted, I haven\u2019t heard from him ever since.\u201d<\/p>\n He added: \u201cIt just let me know that time is over. We\u2019ll never be homies like we were before. I don\u2019t have any beef with him anymore and I\u2019m not mad at him or anything. It\u2019s just time has gone by. [We are in] different places. It\u2019s all good. I know he loves me. I know that. And I know he respects me as an artist. That\u2019s good enough for me.\u201d<\/p>\n Cudi also said that he was reluctant to testify against Diddy<\/a> in his sex trafficking trial earlier this year.<\/p>\n Speaking to\u00a0CBS News<\/em><\/a>, Cudi said he did it for the sake of Cassie.<\/p>\n
