\n\tKelly Clarkson<\/a> has cancelled her appearance at a benefit concert in wake of her ex-husband Brandon Blackstock\u2019s death. <\/p>\n \n\tShe was due to appear at Miranda Lambert<\/a> and Parker McCollum\u2019s Band Together Texas<\/a> event, held to support victims of the July Texas floods<\/a>, on Sunday. The organizers shared the news in an Instagram Story, according to Taste of Country<\/em><\/a>. \u201cUnfortunately, Kelly Clarkson will be unable to appear at Band Together Texas as planned, due to personal circumstances,\u201d the statement read. \u201cWe send our love to Kelly and her family.\u201d<\/p>\n \n\tLambert and McCollum created the benefit, which will feature performances from both musicians alongside Ryan Bingham, Wade Bowen, Ronnie Dunn,\u00a0Dylan Gossett,\u00a0Jack Ingram,\u00a0Cody Johnson, Lyle Lovett, Lukas Nelson, Jon Randall, and the\u00a0Randy Rogers Band. The concert is set for Aug. 17 at Moody Center in Austin and will also include appearances from Texas natives Matthew McConaughey, Dennis Quaid, and Chris Harrison. <\/p>\n \n\tClarkson originally announced her participation in the benefit in July, sharing a poster<\/a> with her name as one of the headliners on Instagram. Her name has since been removed from the lineup. <\/p>\n \n\tBlackstock, Clarkson\u2019s ex-husband and the father of her two children, died of melanoma<\/a> at age 48 on Aug. 7. Shortly after Blackstock died, the talent manager\u2019s family shared a statement announcing his\u00a0death, but shared few details about his illness. \u201cIt is with great sadness that we share the news that Brandon Blackstock has passed away. Brandon bravely battled cancer for more than three years,\u201d Blackstock\u2019s family said. \u201cHe passed away peacefully and was surrounded by family.\u201d<\/p>\n \n\tThe news of Blackstock\u2019s death came just a day after Clarkson\u00a0postponed<\/a>\u00a0several Las Vegas residency shows to be \u201cfully present\u201d with her family and kids while Blackstock dealt with his illness, which had not been made public. \u201cWhile I normally keep my personal life private, this past year, my children\u2019s father has been ill and at this moment,\u201d she wrote on Instagram on Wednesday before he died.<\/p>\n
