Kylie Morgan<\/a> says her latest performance felt like reading \u201cmy personal diary on stage.\u201d<\/p>\n On Thursday (Aug. 14), the Oklahoma-born singer-songwriter shared a poignant message about being overcome with emotion as she performed “Then You Happened” live for the first time \u2014 the deeply personal ballad inspired by her divorce from fellow country artist Jay Allen<\/a>.<\/p>\n In a vulnerable Instagram post, Morgan admitted she nearly fell apart while debuting the track, which was released on Aug. 8.<\/p>\n \u201cThis was the first time I ever performed ‘Then You Happened’ live,\u201d she wrote. \u201cI almost couldn\u2019t finish the song because of so many emotions<\/a> (appreciate everyone there who was so sweet to me about tearing up).\u201d<\/p>\n Read More:\u00a0<\/strong><\/em>30 Searing Country Songs About Divorce, Ranked<\/a><\/p>\n Morgan described the experience as both terrifying and cathartic.<\/p>\n \u201cWriting songs about your life is terrifying.
