Bernie Leadon<\/a> has announced the release of his first album in more than 20 years. Too Late to Be Cool<\/em> will arrive from the Eagles<\/a> cofounder on Oct. 10.<\/p>\n The singer, songwriter and guitarist released a new video for the album’s first single, “Too Many Memories,” earlier this week<\/a>. With the album’s announcement comes the LP’s second single, “Just a Little.”<\/p>\n You can hear “Just a Little” below.<\/p>\n Listen to Bernie Leadon’s ‘Just a Little’<\/strong><\/p>\n “I love this album,” Leadon said in the press release announcing the album. “We took time to make sure the songs were in good keys for my voice. I even sang live on about three songs.”<\/p>\n Leadon’s previous solo album,\u00a0Mirror<\/em>, came out in 2004. It’s been a long wait for the artist, who began his professional career playing with Dillard & Clark and\u00a0the Flying Burrito Brothers<\/a>.<\/p>\n In 1971,\u00a0he\u00a0cofounded the Eagles with\u00a0Glenn Frey<\/a>,\u00a0Don Henley<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0Randy Meisner<\/a>. Leadon left the band in 1975, focusing on work as a\u00a0session guitarist, banjo player and mandolin player with Emmylou Harris,\u00a0Stevie Nicks<\/a>,\u00a0Linda Ronstadt<\/a>,\u00a0Stephen Stills<\/a>\u00a0and others.<\/p>\n The 11 songs on\u00a0Too Late to Be Cool<\/em> were written by Leadon and produced and engineered by Glyn Johns, who produced the Eagles’ first two albums and was fired<\/a> midway through the recording of their third LP.<\/p>\n Leadon’s backing group on the album includes bassist Glenn Worf, drummer Greg Morrow and keyboardist Tony Harrell.<\/p>\n The album’s first single, “Too Many Memories,” was released in July<\/a>.<\/p>\n Watch Bernie Leadon’s ‘Too Many Memories’ Video<\/strong><\/p>\n Leadon was\u00a0inducted into the\u00a0Rock & Roll Hall of Fame<\/a>\u00a0in 1998 as part of the Eagles.\u00a0In 2013, he joined his former bandmates for the two-year History of the Eagles Tour.<\/p>\n He also performed at the 2016 Grammy Awards\u00a0with\u00a0Jackson Browne<\/a>\u00a0and the surviving Eagles members \u2014 Henley,\u00a0Joe Walsh<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0Timothy B. Schmit<\/a>\u00a0\u2014 to perform “Take It Easy” in tribute to Frey, who died in January 2016, just a month before the ceremony.<\/p>\n While Leadon doesn’t have any tour dates lined up, he will play his first show in a decade at the Americanafest in Nashville next month.<\/p>\n “I hope you all enjoy it,” Leadon said of his upcoming album. “Hope you find something that sticks with you, in a good way.
