\n\tNatanael Cano<\/a> has covered the cost of the laptop he smashed<\/a> during Baja Beach Fest<\/a> last weekend. In a statement to Rolling Stone<\/em> Saturday afternoon, the Mexican singer\u2019s label, Los CT, said it had compensated a sound production member for the \u201cdamages sustained\u201d to his equipment, though Cano nor the label issued an apology for the onstage incident.<\/p>\n \n\tLast weekend, Cano was filmed hurling the N-word at a production team member, before a physical altercation with the individual onstage, over seeming sound issues. In Los CT\u2019s Saturday statement, the label clarified that the individuals involved with the Cano incident were \u201cnot DJs,\u201d but a part of the singer\u2019s sound production team. (Attendees first identified the individuals onstage as DJs.)<\/p>\n \n\t\u201cWe wish to inform that the two individuals directly involved have received full and comprehensive reparation for the damages sustained,\u201d Los CT wrote in their statement. \u201cThis resolution was reached through proper procedure and strict accordance with the applicable legal framework in the corresponding country, Mexico.\u201d<\/p>\n \n\tIn several videos posted to social media at the time, Cano was captured grabbing what appeared to be the person\u2019s laptop, flinging the device onto the stage platform before stomping on it multiple times, showing off its cracked screen.<\/p>\n \n\t\u201cWhat\u2019s happening? Stop that,\u201d he said in a clip right before the altercation. \u201cSon of a bitch. Fuck that shit, n\u2014a. I\u2019ll fuck him up and fire him.\u201d Cano joked about stopping the music because he didn\u2019t have whiskey in his hand. \u201cLet\u2019s see, motherfucker \u2026 fuck n\u2014a, what the fuck.\u201d<\/p>\n \n\tIn another clip, he\u2019s captured repeating, \u201cFuck, n\u2014a, what the fuck \u2026 Oh my God, n\u2014a. Stop!\u201d<\/p>\n \n\tThe new statement on Saturday from Los CT did not address Cano\u2019s usage of the racial slur, nor did it apologize for the incident displayed onstage. The label ended its statement by stating that it will \u201cfirmly reject\u201d any attempt to \u201cexploit this situation for financial gain.\u201d<\/p>\n
