Scarface<\/a> has paid tribute to both JAY-Z<\/a> and DJ Khaled<\/a> for helping him out when he suffered a health scare in 2020.<\/p>\n

The Houston rap legend has suffered a series of health issues in recent years but had both Covid and kidney failure at the same time five years ago.<\/p>\n

Speaking on Club Shay Shay<\/em>, Scarface said: \u201cSo you remember when I caught the COVID and kidney failure and all that? JAY-Z chucked me a lifeline. DJ Khaled chucked me a lifeline. So can\u2019t nobody tell me shit about JAY-Z and DJ Khaled, because they chucked me a lifeline.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m thankful, you know what I mean? \u2018Cause I wasn\u2019t working. So shout out to Hov and DJ Khaled. When I talk to JAY-Z, I call him \u2018the keeper of the culture,\u2019 man, \u2018cause he do that big brother shit.\u201d<\/p>\n

Scarface also underwent heart surgery last year<\/a>, an event he said left him close to death.<\/p>\n

In an Instagram post, the Geto Boys legend shared that he went into hospital last summer for scheduled surgery to repair an aortic aneurysm and a \u201cleaky valve,\u201d but \u201csomething crazy happened\u201d when doctors opened him up.<\/p>\n

Alongside a photo of him and his surgeon, Dr. Andrea Quarti, he wrote: \u201cThis is the man, one of the most sought after surgeons in the world, when I was told, \u2018this Dr. is hard to get\u2019 he\u2019s one of the best if not THE BEST.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhen I woke up to have a scheduled aortic aneurysm and leaky valve repaired something crazy happened, when he got me cut open, my aneurysm had torn the entire circumference of my aorta (certain death).\u201d<\/p>\n

Fortunately for Face Mob, the near-fatal discovery was not beyond the surgical talents of Dr. Quarti.<\/p>\n

\u201c[B]ut nope, no surprise to him, I woke 24hrs+ later,\u201d the rapper continued, \u201cand I asked him, why me doc, out of all the people you could\u2019ve worked on?<\/p>\n

\u201cHe looked up to the heavens and he did this [one finger in the air emoji] wow, and again I say I\u2019m grateful.\u201d<\/p>\n

Scarface also needed a new kidney which was donated by his son.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n
