Taylor Swift<\/a>\u2019s 12th studio album isn\u2019t even out yet, but it\u2019s already making waves \u2014 and catching the attention of Hollywood royalty.<\/p>\n

After announcing The Life of a Showgirl<\/em> on the August 13 episode of New Heights<\/em><\/a>, Swift revealed the album\u2019s 12-song tracklist \u2014 and fans quickly locked in on Track 2: \u201cElizabeth Taylor.\u201d<\/p>\n

Now, the late screen icon\u2019s son, Christopher Wilding, is sharing his reaction \u2014 and he sounds genuinely moved by the tribute.<\/p>\n

Wilding called Swift a \u201crare, positive role model for young girls<\/a>\u201d and praised her for her philanthropy and the \u201ccourage to stand up for what she believes.\u201d<\/p>\n

As for the song title? \u201cIf [Taylor\u2019s] track brings some revitalized respect to my mother\u2019s name,\u201d he told TMZ<\/em><\/a>, \u201cthat\u2019s great by me.\u201d<\/p>\n

Not Taylor\u2019s First Taylor Reference<\/h3>\n

While this is the first time Swift has released a song named after Elizabeth Taylor<\/a>, it\u2019s far from the first time she\u2019s drawn inspiration from the late Hollywood legend.<\/p>\n

Back on reputation<\/em>, she famously referenced Taylor\u2019s on-again, off-again love story with Richard Burton \u2014 the man the actress married twice \u2014 in her track \u201c…Ready For It?\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cHe can be my jailer, Burton to this Taylor\u2026,\u201d Swift sings on the fiery track.<\/p>\n

During her 1989<\/em> era, Swift channeled Taylor\u2019s signature style<\/a> in the music video for \u201cWildest Dreams,\u201d donning a sleek black bob and falling for her co-star on a vintage film set \u2014 much like Taylor and Burton on the set of Cleopatra<\/em>.<\/p>\n

And most recently, in December 2023, Swift received<\/a> a Taylor\u2013inspired birthday gift from close friend Keleigh Teller: opal and blue topaz jewelry.<\/p>\n
