\n\tJack White<\/a> has unleashed another salvo at President Donald Trump<\/a>, calling it a \u201cbadge of honor\u201d to be insulted by a White House spokesperson. The musician also expressed incredulity that what prompted one of Trump\u2019s toadies to publicly respond to him was a comment White made about \u2014 of all things \u2014 the president\u2019s outlandish Oval Office decor<\/a>. \u00a0<\/p>\n \n\tWhite shared the lengthy post on Instagram<\/a> Wednesday, Aug. 20, a day after trading words with White House Communications Director Steven Cheung. That back-and-forth began after White posted a photo of Trump and Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelensky in the Oval Office, comparing it to \u201ca vulgar, gold leafed and gaudy, professional wrestler\u2019s dressing room.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n \n\tThat prompted Cheung to fire off a statement calling White a \u201cwashed-up, has-been loser posting drivel on social media because he clearly has ample times on his hands due to his stalled career. It\u2019s apparent he\u2019s been masquerading as a real artist, because he fails to appreciate, and quite frankly disrespects, the splendor and significance of the Oval Office inside of \u2018The People\u2019s House.’\u201d<\/p>\n \n\tWhite has never shied<\/a> from criticizing Trump<\/a> or his admin<\/a> in the past and even tried to sue the president for copyright infringement<\/a> over his use <\/a>of the White Stripes\u2019 \u201cSeven Nation Army\u201d at a campaign rally last year. (He eventually dropped the suit.) For that reason, in his new post, he expressed shock that what got the Trump admin to respond to him directly was not him calling out any number of Trump\u2019s offenses, which he proceeded to list at length.\u00a0<\/p>\n \n\tYou can, of course, read them all in White\u2019s post, but among the most pointed were: Trump\u2019s \u201cgestapo ICE tactics\u201d; his \u201cdisparaging sexist and pedophilic remarks about women\u201d; his links to Jeffrey Epstein and \u201cinclusion in the Epstein files\u201d; his \u201cignorance of the dying children in Sudan, Gaza, and the Democratic Republic of the Congo\u201d; his \u201cnazi like rallies\u201d; and his \u201cconstant, constant, constant lying to the American people.\u201d<\/p>\n
