\n\tGavin Adcock<\/a> is on quite a tear. Earlier this week, he called out Charley Crockett for the Dollar a Day<\/em> singer\u2019s post about authenticity in country music, and also said he felt that Zach Bryan \u201cputs on a big mask in his day-to-day,\u201d during an interview<\/a> on Rolling Stone<\/em>\u2019s Nashville Now<\/a><\/em> podcast. In that same interview, Adcock doubled down on his previous comments<\/a> that Beyonc\u00e9 and her Grammy-winning album Cowboy Carter<\/em> aren\u2019t country music.<\/p>\n \n\tWhen asked what exactly does<\/em> meet the country criteria for him, he said it was about a \u201clifestyle\u201d and echoed statements similar to those Luke Bryan made<\/a> last October. \u201cIt\u2019s buying into what\u2019s been going on in that genre,\u201d Adcock said, \u201cand just embracing the town.\u201d<\/p>\n \n\tAdcock also questioned Beyonc\u00e9\u2019s commitment to country fans. \u201cI don\u2019t think Beyonc\u00e9 cares about country fans. I think she has brought over pop fans to make whatever music she wants to make,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n \n\tBut what country fans did Adcock mean? When asked if there are two types of fans of the genre, he paused and said, \u201cI don\u2019t know\u2026. Everybody has an opinion\u2026 I don\u2019t fault you for your opinion. I\u2019m just going to voice mine.\u201d<\/p>\n \n\tAdcock told Nashville Now<\/em> that fans who don\u2019t share his opinions are welcome at his concerts \u2014 but that they\u2019d better expect a rowdy experience. \u201cI sell t-shirts that say, \u2018I Survived a Gavin Adcock Concert,\u201d he boasted.<\/p>\n
