Even more to the point, \u201cMove On,\u201d the album\u2019s fiery last song finds Offset quipping, \u201cYou fucked around with the wrong dude\/Hope your next nigga will be great.\u201d But you\u2019d be mistaken if you thought that he\u2019s just about drama here. Finding solace and looking inward are some of Offset\u2019s objectives on this fluid follow-up to 2023\u2019s Set It Off<\/em>, in addition to skewering his opps with the barbs he\u2019s always good for.<\/p>\n \n\tSince Donald Glover\u2019s Golden Globes assertion, in 2017, that \u201cBad and Boujee\u201d is \u201cthe best song ever,\u201d the whole planet has known that the mild-voiced rapper is that dude. Indeed, every time you hear \u201cRaindrops, droptop,\u201d it immediately follows that you\u2019re about to hear some top-tier bars. Offset is the ne plus ultra of verbal polish. No doubt, craft, finesse, and professionalism are evident in his lithesome, always-in-pocket raps. He gave us some real lyrical oomph on Father of 4<\/em>, his 2019 solo album, but much of that project seemed centered around family matters. And some fans may have desired more of the unadulterated flames he spit on bangers like \u201cSlippery.\u201d Though Set It Off<\/em> debuted at number 2 on Billboard<\/em>\u2019s Top R&B\/Hip-Hop chart, it struck even less of a balance, jumping off with restless skippables like the shmaltzy \u201cFan.\u201d Fortunately, Kiari<\/em> underscores Offset\u2019s critical gifts, tapping into his chutzpah while demonstrating even more growth.<\/p>\n \n\tEnergy and shit talk propel the bass-suffused \u201cProfessional,\u201d where the Northside, Atlanta native brags, \u201cHead of the food chain, the top of the top\/Kickin\u2019 shit \u2014 Louis Cane \u2014 I cannot flop.\u201d And it\u2019s great to hear him this focused, floating over the track\u2019s infectious snares and ready flutes. Even though he\u2019s traveled the world and made a ton of hits, Offset is still close enough to the streets to remember \u201cI had to go trap and go kick me a door \u2018fore I ever had rapped to a fan.\u201d Similarly, the J.I.D-assisted \u201cBodies\u201d is informed by the \u201cBad and Boujee\u201d rapper\u2019s byzantine observation that \u201cI keep a stick or a blicky in case it get sticky.\u201d<\/p>\n
