Bindi Irwin is feeling much more like herself after numerous health issues landed her in the hospital\u00a0for emergency surgery earlier this year.<\/p>\n
She’s relieved to say she’s finally feeling better.<\/p>\n
The daughter of Steve Irwin shared a glowing photo of herself on social media, detailing what the last several years have looked like for her in the caption.<\/p>\n
“13 years of fighting for answers,” she writes. “51 endometriosis lesions, a chocolate cyst, and my appendix were all removed across two surgeries with @seckinmd. My hernia from giving birth that was unzipping was taken care of.”<\/p>\n
“I can FINALLY say that I’m feeling better,” she adds. “Genuinely healing.”<\/p>\n
The conservationist also\u00a0shares that her days are much better since her surgery.<\/p>\n
She can “function in every day life” without dealing with a pain that left her feeling so nauseous and light headed. Irwin adds that her strength is coming back in her recovery.<\/p>\n
“I cannot express the gravity of my emotions as I am beginning to recognize myself again,” she continues. “I felt utterly ashamed as a teenager and young adult being told that my pain was just part of being a woman. I felt lesser. I felt hurt. I felt weak. That is not ok.”<\/p>\n
She\u00a0also advocated for others in her caption, stressing that women should’t feel alone in their pain. She declared this “stigma of talking about women’s health” should be removed across the board.<\/p>\n
In May 2025, during the annual Steve Irwin Gala in Las Vegas, Irwin was rushed to the hospital<\/a>.\u00a0She had been experiencing due to a “grumbly appendix”\u00a0that\u00a0was on the verge of bursting.<\/p>\n Doctors were quick to remove it, in addition to 14 endometriosis lesions and a large hernia that developed during\u00a0when she gave birth to her daughter Grace four years ago.<\/p>\n In 2023, Irwin had 37 other endometriosis lesions removed, along with a cyst.\u00a0At the time, the wildlife conservationist has been dealing with pain and was a mission to find a diagnosis.<\/p>\n It’s been a long journey to health for Irwin, but it sounds like she is finally on the road to recovery.<\/p>\n Carly Pearce, Mark Chesnutt and Colt Ford have all made headlines recently for serious medical problems, but they are not the only country stars living with chronic illness.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n Gallery Credit: Sterling Whitaker<\/a><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n13 Country Stars Who Are Living With Serious Health Conditions<\/h2>\n
