The first teaser trailer for The Carpenter\u2019s Son<\/em><\/a>\u2014a biblical horror movie starring FKA Twigs<\/a> as Mary, mother of Jesus\u2014is here. Nicolas Cage plays Joseph in the movie, and you can see them both in the clip below. Lofty Nathan wrote and directed the film, which stars Noah Jupe (A Quiet Place<\/em>) as Jesus. It is set for release this fall, but no date has been set.<\/p>\n A movie synopsis shared upon the film\u2019s announcement last year said The Carpenter\u2019s Son<\/em> \u201ctells the dark story of a family hiding out in Roman Egypt. The son, known only as \u2018the Boy,\u2019 is driven to doubt by another mysterious child and rebels against his guardian, the Carpenter, revealing inherent powers and a fate beyond his comprehension. As he exercises his own power, the Boy and his family become the target of horrors, natural and divine.\u201d<\/p>\n Twigs recently starred opposite Bill Skarsg\u00e5rd in Rupert Sanders\u2019 remake of the 1994 cult classic The Crow<\/em><\/a>. She also has a new album, Eusexua Afterglow<\/em><\/a>, on the way\u2014a standalone, full-length follow-up to Eusexua<\/em><\/a>, according to her publicists.<\/p>\n
