{"id":45167,"date":"2025-08-28T21:36:53","date_gmt":"2025-08-28T21:36:53","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/musicianvoice.com\/index.php\/2025\/08\/28\/50-cent-backs-ynw-melly-to-get-released-from-jail\/"},"modified":"2025-08-28T21:36:53","modified_gmt":"2025-08-28T21:36:53","slug":"50-cent-backs-ynw-melly-to-get-released-from-jail","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/musicianvoice.com\/index.php\/2025\/08\/28\/50-cent-backs-ynw-melly-to-get-released-from-jail\/","title":{"rendered":"50 Cent Backs YNW Melly To Get Released From Jail"},"content":{"rendered":"<p> <br \/>\n<\/p>\n<div itemprop=\"articleBody\">\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/hiphopdx.com\/artist\/50-cent\">50 Cent<\/a> has backed <a href=\"https:\/\/hiphopdx.com\/artist\/ynw-melly\">YNW Melly<\/a> to beat his murder charges and get released from jail now that he was new legal representation.<\/p>\n<p>Melly announced that he had fired his lawyers after his double murder trial was postponed all the way until 2027 with the rapper expected to remain behind bars until then.<\/p>\n<p>He also claimed that one of his attorneys, Raven Liberty, has a conflict of interest as they are under investigation for witness tampering relating to the case.<\/p>\n<p>To replace his existing legal team, Melly has hired Drew Findling, who has notably represented the likes of Kodak Black, Cardi B and Lil Durk as well as president Donald Trump.<\/p>\n<p><iframe class=\"optanon-category-C0003\" title=\"instagram-embed\" data-src=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/50cent\/p\/DN4KBk3EkcP\/embed\" width=\"320\" height=\"600\" frameborder=\"0\" scrolling=\"no\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>On Instagram, 50 Cent made it clear he approved of the decision and banked on Melly\u2019s legal issues improving with the hire.<\/p>\n<p>He wrote: \u201cMelly gonna fvck around and come home fvcking wit Drew! That\u2019s the right lawyer.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><a class=\"underline-link\" href=\"https:\/\/hiphopdx.com\/news\/ynw-melly-lawyer-investigated-witness-tampering\/\">The issue regarding Liberty has been going on since the beginning of the year<\/a> when the rapper appeared in court and was informed he had been in jail for six years without conviction.<\/p>\n<p>The 25-year-old could be seen self-deprecatingly laughing at the fact and said, \u201cDamn.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Melly has been\u00a0<a class=\"underline-link\" href=\"https:\/\/hiphopdx.com\/news\/ynw-melly-sues-jail-cruel-conditions\">attempting to get himself released from jail while awaiting retrial<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>He recently sued Broward County Sheriff Gregory Tony and his office, arguing that he should be released from custody immediately due to the \u201ccruel\u201d conditions he is being subjected to.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cDemons is a black male whose current detention conditions shock the conscience and could not even be imagined in this day and age even in a third-world country that has no guard rails protecting human decency and dignity,\u201d the complaint reads.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cFor over three years, Petitioner Jamell Demons has not been permitted to make a single phone call or have a single visit with his family or any member of the outside world, including not seeing or speaking with his own mother in over three years!!!<\/p>\n<p>\u201cDemons has and continues to be subjected to the type of debilitating isolation that renders his conditions of incarceration cruel, unusual and beyond belief in a civilized society governed by Constitutional safeguards.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The rapper stands accused of murdering two childhood friends, Chris \u201cYNW Juvy\u201d Thomas and Anthony \u201cYNW Sakchaser\u201d Williams, in 2018 and making it look like a drive-by shooting.<\/p>\n<p>The original trial ended with the jury unable to reach a verdict.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<p><script async src=\"\/\/www.instagram.com\/embed.js\"><\/script><br \/>\n<br \/><br \/>\n<br \/><a href=\"https:\/\/hiphopdx.com\/news\/50-cent-backs-ynw-melly-to-get-released-from-jail\/\">Source link <\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>50 Cent has backed YNW Melly to beat his murder charges and get released from jail now that he was new legal representation.
