Kid Cudi<\/a> has told fans that he is set to take an extended break from music after releasing his latest album, Free<\/em>.<\/p>\n

On X, Cudi announced plans to step back from recording and focus on some of his other interests for a while.<\/p>\n

He wrote: \u201cFam!!! I just wanna say thank you to all my fans for supporting Free, spreading the word and sending love. I\u2019m so grateful I have y\u2019all in my corner. Free was my last album on a major label (which is part of the reason I called the album Free) and now I\u2019m lookin forward to a new chapter and being independent. I\u2019m so proud of this album and the reception it received.<\/p>\n

\u201cSo many people hit me and my friends about how much they loved it. And this last 2 weeks has been really special for me. When u take chances and see people feel u and take the ride w u, it\u2019s a beautiful thing. Please keep runnin it up, tell ur friends, I got a new short film I directed myself for Mr Miracle droppin in a matter of weeks that ur gonna fuckin love. I love y\u2019all man. All day everyday.\u201d<\/p>\n

Kid Cudi reveals he\u2019s now fully independent after the release of his new album \u2018FREE\u2019, and says he\u2019s stepping back from dropping albums.<\/p>\n

Cudi added: \u201cI think ima officially take a step back for a while from droppin albums and focus on directing, more acting, painting and fashion for sure. Its gonna be a while til y\u2019all hear another album from me but I promise when I do come again, it won\u2019t be boring.\u201d<\/p>\n

The Cleveland native recently revealed that he had found peace after marrying his wife earlier this year<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Cudi tied the knot with Lola Abecassis Satore earlier this year and revealed to\u00a0People<\/em><\/a>\u00a0the profound impact it has had on his life.<\/p>\n

He said: \u201cI got a homie that\u2019s going to be there for me, [who] ain\u2019t going to leave me alone. No matter where we are on the planet, she\u2019ll be here. I\u2019ll be there. We\u2019re halfway across the country from each other and I still know that I could call her, that I can connect with her, that she\u2019ll be there for me if I ever have a moment of weakness. If I ever need some help, she\u2019ll lift me up.\u201d<\/p>\n

Cudi added: \u201cSo I think that\u2019s the illest part about the whole thing. I mean, of course, there\u2019s so many awesome things that come with marriage, but I think the biggest thing is that I got a homie with me now.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n
