He\u2019s a very intelligent young man, he\u2019s very nice, he\u2019s handsome, he\u2019s a good guy. I get it. He\u2019s a good dude. He\u2019s smart \u2014 a very bright man.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The Oscar winner then revealed who his favorite rapper of all time was: \u201cNas is one of my favorites ever, because I talk a lot, he\u2019s a wordsmith.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><iframe class=\"optanon-category-C0003\" style=\"aspect-ratio:16\/9; width:100%; height:auto; display:block;\" data-src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube-nocookie.com\/embed\/Kql0ltyREJ4\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>The love between Washington and Rocky is mutual with <a class=\"underline-link\" href=\"https:\/\/hiphopdx.com\/news\/asap-rocky-reveals-denzel-washington-gave-him-life-changing-advice\/\">the rapper recently revealing that his co-star gave him life changing advice a decade ago<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Speaking to\u00a0<em>GQ<\/em>, Rocky revealed he was invited around the Washington family home at Christmas by the legendary actor\u2019s son, John David.<\/p>\n<p>A$AP explained: \u201cWe was chilling and you gave me some of the illest advice. You was like \u2018this your girlfriend?\u2019 I was like \u2018nah, this my friend\u2019.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Rocky continued: \u201cHe was like \u2018Alright, cool, you like family man.\u2019 He\u2019s like \u2018in a few years, you gotta get it together. It\u2019s about the family. It\u2019s about this.\u2019 You know? And I never forget that.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Spike Lee, who directed Rocky and Washington in\u00a0<em>Highest 2 Lowest<\/em>,\u00a0<a class=\"underline-link\" href=\"https:\/\/hiphopdx.com\/news\/asap-rocky-praised-toe-to-toe-denzel-washington\/\">praised the rapper turned actor for being able to hold his own against the Oscar winner<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Speaking on\u00a0<em>The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon<\/em>, Lee said: \u201cYeah, don\u2019t sleep on A$AP. In this film, Denzel and A$AP go toe-to-toe. What\u2019s interesting is, even before I got involved with this film, I always thought that A$AP looked like he could be Denzel\u2019s son. There\u2019s a big resemblance. So when you see it on the screen, it adds an element of father and son.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>He reiterated: \u201cDon\u2019t sleep on A$AP. I\u2019ve done five films with Denzel, and a lot of times when he\u2019s in a scene with somebody, they just get overwhelmed. He\u2019s one of the greatest living actors today, but A$AP wasn\u2019t having that.
