\n\t2 Chainz<\/a> will reflect on decades of personal and professional lessons in his debut memoir The Voice in Your Head Is God<\/em>. Set for release on March 3 via Atria Books imprint Black Privilege Publishing, the book will traverse the rapper\u2019s earliest memories from growing up in Georgia as he set out on a path that would lead to both success and spiritual breakthroughs in his life and career.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cI feel this is my best close and most personal work,\u201d the artist born Tauheed Epps said in a statement. \u201cI want to share the spiritual journey behind my success in a raw, uncut, and motivational way.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tThe Voice in Your Head Is God<\/em> places an emphasis on the series of decisions that brought 2 Chainz away from his tumultuous relationship with hustling and introduced him to the healthier creative medium of music.\u00a0According to a synopsis of the release, artists like Lil Wayne and Ludacris played a pivotal role in his journey. <\/p>\n

\n\tIn sharing his story, 2 Chainz hopes \u201cto help anyone with a dream and a vision [who] struggles, or doubts their intuition,\u201d adding, \u201cI wouldn\u2019t be here now without that voice.\u201d <\/p>\n

\n\tEarlier this year, 2 Chainz shared a similar message in the short film Red Clay,<\/em><\/a> co-written with Omar Epps. \u201cI tell stories through my music, always hoping people feel empowered to overcome anything,\u201d he told Variety<\/a><\/em> at the time. \u201cRed Clay<\/em> is an extension of that.\u201d The film followed a teen facing a difficult upbringing as his mother deals with drug addiction. It wasn\u2019t autobiographical, but the rapper drew on the resilience of communities in Georgia, where he was raised by a single mother while his father was incarcerated.<\/p>\n

\n\tWith The Voice in Your Head Is God<\/em>, 2 Chainz will immortalize these stories in writing for the first time. \u201c2 Chainz tells the story of how he walked away from the trap and found his purpose: not by fame or fear, but by faith,\u201d the synopsis reads.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
