John Rich<\/a>\u00a0of country duo\u00a0Big &\u00a0Rich<\/a>\u00a0says he wants to be the new CEO of\u00a0Cracker Barrel<\/a>\u00a0chain restaurants, and he has some ideas for changes he’d make should that ever become a reality.<\/p>\n Rich was a guest on\u00a0The Benny Show<\/a><\/em>\u00a0podcast, where he pondered why the company hasn’t hired him\u00a0post-logo debacle<\/a>.<\/p>\n The first thing he would do as CEO?<\/p>\n “Fire everybody that bastardized that brand, No. 1,” Rich says, referring to the modernization of the restaurants, which included removing the old man and the barrel from their logo.<\/p>\n “No. 2, we would start doing the Pledge of Allegiance every morning when we opened at breakfast, and we\u2019d do the National Anthem at lunch,” he adds.<\/p>\n Rich is a staunch conservative who’s vocal about issues he feels are plaguing the United States.<\/p>\n Perhaps his best idea for the brand is the addition of\u00a0“all-you-can-eat chicken fried steak, eggs and mashed potatoes for $17.76.” That price, of course, is a nod to America’s birthday, July 4, 1776.<\/p>\n This would, in Rich’s\u00a0view, turn Cracker Barrel around “rapidly, and people would come back in droves.”<\/p>\n The company stirred up controversy over the summer for the changes they wanted to make \u2014 a move they’ve since turned back on<\/a>, at least when it comes to their iconic logo. They’ve also freshened the interiors of the restaurants, which now appear airy and bright compared to the wood-rich interior loyalists knew and loved.<\/p>\n The two members of Big\u00a0& Rich are Big Kenny and John Rich.<\/p>\n “Lost in This Moment”\u00a0is Big & Rich’s only No.1\u00a0single,\u00a0and it spent two weeks at the top of the country music charts. Perhaps more well-known is “Save a Horse (Ride a Cowboy).”<\/p>\n \u00a0<\/p>\n “Big” Kenny Alphin’s massive Nashville mansion looks like a castle fit for European royalty. The 18,449-square-foot, eight-bedroom, eight-bathroom stone residence includes a fully equipped professional recording studio, formal dining room, formal library and a wine cellar designed to hold up to 1,000 bottles, along with a tasting room. These country singers are all making space for new bundles of joy this year. Some are first-time parents, while others are already experts at this “parenting” thing, but every new arrival is sure to be equally sweet.
