While it isn\u2019t the first time the rapper has performed in New York City, this was his first official arena show in the city\u00a0 \u2014 and he wanted it to be bigger than ever.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-line-height-copy  lrv-a-font-body-l   \">\n\tRising act Danny Towers warmed the crowd up with a medley of songs from his latest album <em>Sinners Club<\/em> which includes collaborations with Carri\u00f3n on the tracks \u201cCrush\u201d and \u201cASAP.\u201d Soon, Carri\u00f3n stepped onto the stage donning a silk suit with an embroidered red dragon on the back, sidling up next to dancers who played the part of mafioso goons as they began the show with a street fight right out of a movie.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-line-height-copy  lrv-a-font-body-l   \">\n\tDuring the two-hour performance, Carri\u00f3n seemed genuinely excited to be on stage and connecting with fans. From dancing and hyping up the crowd, The singer carried an undeniable confidence and warmth which only encouraged the crowd to have a good time \u2014 even when he performed some of his more scrappier hits<em> <\/em>such as \u201cInvencible,\u201d \u201cOhtani,\u201d \u201cH.I.M,\u201d \u201cBroly,\u201d and \u201cVetements.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-line-height-copy  lrv-a-font-body-l   \">\n\tThis was also a bigger production for Carri\u00f3n,f rom stage design to wardrobe styling to choreography. The back-up dancers captured interpretive elements of Carri\u00f3n\u2019s discography and demonstrated their skill and strength while performing gravity-defying breakdancing numbers and theatrical battle scenes. Surrounded by floor-to-ceiling screens, the retro-inspired Japanese iconography was cohesive throughout the show. Neon-pink, edgy graphics made Carrion appear as though he were on the cover of an underground Japanese magazine.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-line-height-copy  lrv-a-font-body-l   \">\n\tAs the pyrotechnics, laser, and neon lighting brightened the arena, Carri\u00f3n welcomed a string of guests and close friends to the stage, starting with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/search?q=Rich+The+Kid+rolling+stone&amp;rlz=1C5GCEM_enUS1130US1130&amp;oq=Rich+The+Kid+rolling+stone&amp;gs_lcrp=EgZjaHJvbWUyBggAEEUYOdIBCDE4MjFqMGo0qAIAsAIB&amp;sourceid=chrome&amp;ie=UTF-8\" rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\">Rich The Kid<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/music\/music-album-reviews\/featuring-ty-dolla-ign-1082607\/\">Ty Dolla $ign<\/a>, who performed their single \u201cCarnival.\u201d Throughout his set, Carri\u00f3n revisited tracks from his earliest projects such as <em>Sauce Boyz<\/em>, <em>Sen2 Kbrn Vol. 1<\/em>, and <em>Monaraca,<\/em> all which dropped at the height of the pandemic and helped put his name on the map. While several of the colleagues he came up with have gone on to experiment with different sounds, and a new crop of rappers, like Dei V, Omar Courtz, and VEI HABACHE, infuse the genre with their own unique twists, Carri\u00f3n offers fans a reliable continuity in sound that remains fresh and authentic. During sentimental moments of the show, Carri\u00f3n performed more emotionally vulnerable tracks \u201cPaz Mental,\u201d and thanked fans for following his journey since his <em>Sauce Boyz<\/em> (2020) days. He also took a moment to shout out his mother and father who were in attendance.
