MTV\u2019s 2025 Video Music Awards<\/a> are taking place tonight (September 7) at Long Island\u2019s UBS Arena. Lady Gaga<\/a> leads the field with 12 nominations, including in the Video of the Year category for her Bruno Mars<\/a> duet \u201cDie With a Smile<\/a>.\u201d Mars himself and Kendrick Lamar<\/a> trail closely behind her with 11 and 10 nods, respectively.<\/p>\n

The 2025 VMAs are hosted by LL Cool J. This year has seen the addition of two new categories: Best Pop Artist and Best Country. Mariah Carey<\/a>, Busta Rhymes, and Ricky Martin are each set to take home legacy awards, with Carey being granted the coveted title of Video Vanguard<\/a>.<\/p>\n
