\n\tRos\u00e9<\/a> looked like she could barely believe she won Song of the Year at the 2025 Video Music Awards, but had a two-page speech prepared just in case. After Paris Hilton<\/a> (who walked out to her own bygone hit of sorts, 2006\u2019s \u201cStars are Blind\u201d) presented her with a win for \u201cApt.\u201d with Bruno Mars, the Blackpink<\/a> star giddily took the stage, shocked.<\/p>\n \n\t\u201cI\u2019ve prepared something because I didn\u2019t want to mess this up and I feel like this is a really big moment for myself and a lot of other people,\u201d she began before thanking Mars for his friendship and world-building. Ros\u00e9 shared an anecdote about being asked her what her fear in life is. She realized, she said, it would be hitting a wall and disappointing her 16-year-old self, who she described as \u201can oddball among society that wished someday she, too, could be herself and equally pursue her dreams just as well as anyone else I saw on television.\u201d She dedicated the award to that young version of her.<\/p>\n \n\tRos\u00e9 also thanked the members of Blackpink in both English and Korean, as well as her family, and many members of her team. Before walking off with her \u201cheavy\u201d Moon Person, she added, \u201cAs my therapist tells me to do every day, I\u2019d like to thank myself for not giving up, even in the toughest of times.
