Doja Cat<\/a> gave \u201cJealous Type,\u201d the lead single from her forthcoming album Vie<\/em>, its live debut tonight at the 2025 MTV Video Music Awards<\/a>. She interrupted host LL Cool J\u2019s opening speech with a pre-taped PSA, then launched into a rendition of the track that featured an \u201980s-inspired set, dance breakdown, and period-accurate saxophone solo courtesy of Kenny G. Watch her performance below.<\/p>\n \u201cJealous Type\u201d was nominated for Song of the Summer at tonight\u2019s VMAs. Doja Cat also has a nod in the Best K-Pop category as a featured artist\u2014alongside Raye<\/a>\u2014on \u201cBorn Again\u201d by Blackpink<\/a>\u2019s Lisa<\/a>. Earlier this year, the trio performed a tribute<\/a> to the James Bond<\/em> franchise at the 2025 Oscars.<\/p>\n Tonight marked Doja Cat\u2019s third VMAs performance. In 2021, she made her main stage debut singing<\/a> \u201cBeen Like This\u201d and \u201cYou Right\u201d while suspended in mid-air, and in 2023 delivered a medley<\/a> of singles from her album Scarlet<\/em><\/a>.
