\n\tFans of Bad Bunny<\/a> were confused about why the musician left the continental United States off his upcoming Deb\u00ed Tirar M\u00e1s Fotos<\/em> world tour<\/a>. In an interview with i-D<\/em><\/a> published Wednesday, the singer said the decision was tied to the Trump administration<\/a>\u2019s recent mass deportations<\/a> targeting Latinos.<\/p>\n \n\tWhen asked by interviewer Suzy Exposito if his decision was \u201cout of concern\u201d for Latino fans, Bad Bunny responded: \u201cMan, honestly, yes.\u201d<\/p>\n \n\t\u201cThere were many reasons why I didn\u2019t show up in the U.S., and none of them were out of hate \u2014 I\u2019ve performed there many times,\u201d Bad Bunny explained. \u201cAll of [the shows] have been successful. All of them have been magnificent.\u201d<\/p>\n \n\tPart of the appeal of doing a residency in his native Puerto Rico has been welcoming fans from over the world to his island, including many from the United States who had never visited La Isla del Encanto. The singer is set to conclude his No Me Quiero Ir de Aqu\u00ed<\/a> residency<\/a> on Sept. 14 after 30 shows since mid-July.<\/p>\n \n\t\u201cI\u2019ve enjoyed connecting with Latinos who have been living in the US, but specifically, for a residency here in Puerto Rico, when we are an incorporated territory of the U.S\u2026 People from the U.S. could come here to see the show,\u201d Bad Bunny said. \u201cLatinos and Puerto Ricans of the United States could also travel here, or to any part of the world.\u201d<\/p>\n \n\tHe added: \u201cBut there was the issue of \u2014 like, fucking ICE<\/a> could be outside [my concert]. And it\u2019s something that we were talking about and very concerned about.\u201d <\/p>\n
