\n\tAuthorities are investigating an alleged death threat directed at Junior H<\/a> Tuesday night and urging the corridos singer to not perform in Tijuana at an upcoming show. A rep for the singer confirms to Rolling Stone<\/em> Wednesday that \u201cthe date is still on\u201d and tickets will continue to be on sale, despite the alleged threat.<\/p>\n \n\tAccording to Mexican newspaper El Universal<\/em>,<\/a> \u201cnarco manta,\u201d or banner, was allegedly hung in the Buena Vista area of Tijuana and found by police around 4 a.m. Wednesday morning. The Baja California Prosecutor\u2019s Office confirmed <\/em>to Billboard<\/a><\/em> that it was investigating the incident.<\/p>\n \n\t\u201cJunior H, refrain from showing up on 08\/11. If not, you\u2019re going to get yourself klled,\u201d reads the supposed banner, shared on social media, in Spanish. \u201cStop the nonsense: Not singing narcocorridos, it won\u2019t save you. Signed: CJNG.\u201d<\/p>\n \n\tThe prosecutor\u2019s office in Tijuana did not immediately respond to Rolling Stone<\/em>\u2018s request for comment but told Billboard<\/em> that it would \u201cprovide full security\u201d for Junior if he does choose to perform at the city\u2019s Estadio Caliente.<\/p>\n \n\tIn recent months, Junior has refrained from singing the narcocorrdios in his discography, including during a Coachella performance <\/a>in April. Junior welcomed Peso Pluma onstage and they skipped their collaboration \u201cEl Azul,\u201d written about a drug cartel leader in Sinaloa.<\/p>\n
