They include claims that Navarro has \u201cunclean hands,\u201d \u201cfails to state facts sufficient to constitute a cause of action against,\u201d and \u201cfailed to exercise reasonable care and diligence to mitigate [the] alleged claims and damages.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-line-height-copy  lrv-a-font-body-l   \">\n\tThe frontman also says he acted in \u201cgood faith and without malice\u201d toward the guitarist. He\u2019s seeking attorney fees and legal costs related to the case.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-line-height-copy  lrv-a-font-body-l   \">\n\t\u201cOur lawsuit speaks for itself,\u201d Christopher Frost, an attorney for Navaro, Avery, and Perkins, says in a written statement to <em>Rolling Stone<\/em>. \u201cSo does the video. By responding in this way, Mr. Farrell is not taking any formal legal step to stop the litigation. This is consistent with the fact that they have taken no affirmative steps to advance their claims, whether serving discovery or otherwise, and it is consistent with the strength of the claims by Dave, Eric, and Stephen.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-line-height-copy  lrv-a-font-body-l   \">\n\tThe 2024 Jane\u2019s Addiction reunion tour \u2014 which marked the first time since 2010 all four founding members of the band hit the road together \u2014 began with great promise.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-line-height-copy  lrv-a-font-body-l   \">\n\t\u201cWe\u2019re playing smaller rooms,\u201d<a href=\"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/music\/music-features\/dave-navarro-janes-addiction-reunion-1235075416\/\"> an excited Navarro told <em>Rolling Stone<\/em> in August 2024.<\/a> \u201cWe have new material. But when the tour came to America, Farrell began acting erratically onstage. At a New York City show on September 10, 2024, he was barely able to sing and spoke to the crowd in a borderline incoherent fashion. In July, Navarro, Avery, and Perkins filed a lawsuit against Farrell. It\u2019s a transparent attempt to control the narrative and present themselves as the so-called \u2018good guys\u2019 \u2014a move that\u2019s both typical and predictable. Just like when they released a defamatory and entirely unfounded statement about Perry\u2019s mental health and unilaterally canceled the remaining tour dates without his input, they\u2019re once again scrambling to get ahead of the truth in a desperate effort to save face.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-line-height-copy  lrv-a-font-body-l   \">\n\tThe group has given very few interviews over the last year.
