Jeff Tweedy<\/a> is sharing one last single before he releases his new album, Twilight Override<\/em><\/a>, on September 26. \u201cLou Reed Was My Babysitter\u201d comes with a music video by director Austin Vesely<\/a> that captures Tweedy and his bandmates playing a basement show. Watch it below.<\/p>\n \u201cLou Reed Was My Babysitter\u201d is about \u201cthe joy in this dark music that Lou Reed made, and the beautiful conflict that it creates when you try and analyze it,\u201d Tweedy said in a statement. \u201cAnd how it was such a positive force for so many people. \u2018My life was saved by rock\u2019n\u2019roll\u2019\u2014Lou Reed is saying the same thing. I was babysat by fucking Lou Reed, literally, in my bedroom as a 10-year-old, 12-year-old kid. His music was a more legitimate mentor to me than most of my teachers.\u201d<\/p>\n Tweedy announced Twilight Override<\/em> in July. The Wilco<\/a> frontman has shared numerous tracks from the album, including \u201cEnough,\u201d \u201cOne Tiny Flower,\u201d \u201cOut in the Dark,\u201d \u201cStray Cats in Spain,\u201d and \u201cFeel Free<\/a>.\u201d<\/p>\n
