Lilith Fair: Building a Mystery \u2014 The Untold Story<\/em> premieres on Hulu and Hulu on Disney+ on Sept. 21<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n \n\tA star-studded new documentary titled Lilith Fair<\/a>: Building a Mystery \u2014 The Untold Story<\/em> will celebrate the trailblazing legacy of the historic all-female music festival. Ahead of the film\u2019s Sept. 21 release, a new trailer previews interviews with artists who played the festival as well as young fans shaped by it.<\/p>\n \n\t\u201cAll of my favorite artists played at this event,\u201d Olivia Rodrigo<\/a> says during her interviews. \u201cI was in disbelief I had never heard of it before.\u201d Rodrigo is joined by Lilith Fair vets Sheryl Crow<\/a>, Paula Cole, Bonnie Raitt, and Erykah Badu<\/a> as well as the fest\u2019s co-founder Sarah McLachlan<\/a>, who all appear in the documentary. The new trailer previews some of their interviews as well as never-before-seen performance and backstage footage that celebrates the powerful, supportive environment and impact of a woman-led festival.<\/p>\n \n\t\u201cPromoters said \u2018You can\u2019t put two women on the same bill. People won\u2019t come,’\u201d McLachlan recalls. \u201cThat\u2019s complete bullshit.\u201d<\/p>\n
