At the 2025 Creative Arts Emmys<\/a> last weekend (September 7 and 8), Christopher Lennertz took home the award for Outstanding Original Music and Lyrics for his song \u201cLet’s Put the Christ Back in Christmas\u201d from The Boys.<\/em> He beat out fellow nominees Kristen Anderson-Lopez and Robert Lopez for \u201cThe Ballad of the Witches\u2019 Road\u201d (Agatha All Along<\/em>), Nicholas Britell and Tony Gilroy for \u201cWe Are the Ghor (Planetary Anthem)\u201d (Andor<\/em>), Adam Sandler and Dan Bulla for \u201cAdam Sandler\u2019s Song: 50 Years\u201d (SNL50: The Anniversary Special<\/em>), and Sean Douglas, Kristen Wiig, and Josh Greenbaum for \u201cHarper and Will Go West\u201d (Will & Harper<\/em>). It\u2019s Lennertz\u2019s first Emmy Award and third nomination.<\/p>\n Lennertz\u2019s award is not to be confused with Outstanding Music Composition for a Series (Original Dramatic Score), which Theodore Shapiro won<\/a> for Severance<\/em>, nor Outstanding Music Composition for a Limited or Anthology Series, Movie, or Special (Original Dramatic Score), which went to Mick Giacchino for The Penguin<\/em>.<\/p>\n Plenty of musicians were nominated<\/a> for Emmy Awards this year, including Kendrick Lamar, Beyonc\u00e9, Jay-Z, Kamasi Washington, Caroline Shaw, Hamilton Leithauser, Mark Ronson, Hans Zimmer, Devo co-founder Mark Mothersbaugh, and the Roots\u2019 Ahmir \u201cQuestlove\u201d Thompson.
