Kendrick Lamar<\/a> and Drake<\/a> were the target of a joke made by Tina Fey at last night\u2019s Emmy Awards.<\/p>\n

Fey was presenting the award for Outstanding Live Variety special for which Kendrick was nominated for his performance at the Super Bowl earlier this year.<\/p>\n

Before announcing the winner, Fey quipped: \u201cIf Kendrick Lamar\u2019s Super Bowl halftime special wins I\u2019m really going to hear it from Drake. And Drake and I are supposed to play pickleball tomorrow. So\u2026 anyway\u2026\u201d<\/p>\n

Drake and Kendrick are yet to respond to the joke but the Compton rapper did lose out on the award to an episode of Saturday Night Live<\/em>.<\/p>\n

Drake recently took a shot at Kendrick on new song \u201cDog House\u201d<\/a> which is expected to appear on his upcoming album, Iceman.<\/p>\n

Referencing the Compton superstar\u2019s eminently popular song \u201cMoney Trees\u201d, Drizzy raps:\u00a0\u201cFuck a money tree, I\u2019m a cash cow \/ If I ain\u2019t give a fuck then, I don\u2019t give a fuck now .\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n

Drizzy also scored something of a win in his legal battle with UMG over Kendrick\u2019s diss song \u201cNot Like Us\u201d.<\/p>\n

Drake has been granted redacted access to Kendrick\u2019s contract<\/a> with the recording giant by Judge Jeanette Vargas.<\/p>\n

Vargas said: \u201cPlaintiff and UMG\u2019s request\u2026 for permission to file under seal a contract between UMG Recordings, Inc. and Kendrick Lamar Duckworth, as produced by UMG in redacted form with the designation Attorney\u2019s Eyes Only, is GRANTED.\u201d<\/p>\n

Vargas added: \u201cUMG has made a sufficient showing that the information that he seeks to seal qualifies as confidential, \u2018sensitive business information.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n

However, the judge ultimately ruled: \u201cIn this instance, the \u2018interest in protecting confidential business information outweighs the qualified First Amendment presumption of public access\u2019\u201d.<\/p>\n

She added: \u201cAdditionally, because the Lamar Contract reflects an \u2018ongoing contractual relationship\u2019 between UMG\u2019s business partner and Lamar, the Court agrees that sealing the contract would best protect UMG\u2019s \u2018business relationships and interests, and the privacy interests of non-parties.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n

Drake was recently blasted by UMG boss, Lucian Grainge<\/a>, over his demands for documentation regarding his feud with Kendrick Lamar.<\/p>\n

In a response to Drake\u2019s demands, Grainge has submitted a declaration to the court saying he \u201chad never heard the recording \u2018Not Like Us,\u2019 nor ever saw the corresponding cover art or music video, until after they were released by Interscope Records.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n
