It seems they were fairly close to Kirk, too.<\/p>\n In the wake of his death, Brittany shared a collection of photos of herself and her country star husband posing for pictures with Kirk.<\/p>\n She also shared an emotional tribute, writing, “He put everything on the line to be a voice for those who weren’t able. I admired him. His courage, his intelligence, his faith…there will truly never be another like him.”<\/p>\n Kirk was fatally shot during a public speaking event on Sept. 10 at Utah Valley University in Orem, Utah.
