The Almost Famous<\/em><\/em> director will venture across the country for “intimate evenings of storytelling” and the music that shaped his life<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n \n\tCameron Crowe<\/a>, the Oscar-winning writer and director behind Almost Famous<\/em> (based on his early years writing for Rolling Stone<\/em>), will take his upcoming memoir The Uncool <\/em>on tour this fall.<\/p>\n \n\tCrowe, who also directed Jerry Maguire<\/em> and Say Anything<\/em>, will release his book on Oct. 28 before hitting the road on a seven-city book run across the U.S. The tour will launch in Washington D.C. and stop in Nashville, Chicago, San Diego, Seattle, and Los Angeles before concluding in San Francisco on Nov. 23. Each gathering is billed as \u201cintimate evenings of storytelling, behind-the-scenes anecdotes, and the music that shaped his life,\u201d with a special guest joining Crowe on every stop. Sheryl Crow will join Crowe in Nashville, and Kate Hudson, who starred in the cult classic Almost Famous<\/em> as \u201cBand aid\u201d Penny Lane, will appear in San Diego.
