\n\tMargo Price<\/a> performed her defiant anthem \u201cDon\u2019t Let the Bastards Get You Down\u201d on Tuesday night\u2019s Jimmy Kimmel<\/a> Live!<\/em> \u2014 and it just may turn out to be the late-night show\u2019s last musical performance.<\/p>\n \n\tOn Wednesday, ABC pulled Kimmel\u2019s show<\/a> from the air over comments the host made surrounding the assassination of conservative activist Charlie Kirk during Tuesday night\u2019s monologue. Kimmel said, in part, that some right-wingers were trying to \u201cscore political points\u201d in the aftermath of the shooting, and also played a clip<\/a> of President Trump responding to a question about Kirk\u2019s death by crowing about a new ballroom he\u2019s constructing at the White House.<\/p>\n \n\tApparently, this was too much for Nexstar, \u201cAmerica\u2019s largest local television broadcasting group,\u201d and ABC and its parent company, Disney, bowed to Nexstar\u2019s pressure. \u201cJimmy Kimmel Live<\/a> <\/em>will be pre-empted indefinitely,\u201d an ABC spokesperson told Rolling Stone<\/em>. The spokesperson did not clarify the reason behind the decision. (Earlier on Wednesday, Trump\u2019s Federal Communications Commission chairman, Brendan Carr, publicly\u00a0called on<\/a>\u00a0licensed broadcasters to stop airing Kimmel\u2019s show.)<\/p>\n
