Reba McEntire<\/a> and Rex Linn<\/a> are getting hitched!<\/p>\n The couple revealed their\u00a0engagement news<\/a>\u00a0while the two walked the red carpet at the Primetime Emmy Awards on Sunday (Sept. 14).<\/p>\n They haven\u2019t made a formal announcement, but speculation began when a reporter referred to them as fiances during photos and interviews. A representative has since confirmed the news<\/a>.<\/p>\n The pair have known each other for more than 30 years and have been dating for five, prompting some to wonder why they waited so long to get engaged.<\/p>\n The adorable couple\u2019s romance blossomed during COVID, when they reconnected after several years apart and quickly became inseparable. Their undeniable chemistry was evident every time they stepped out together.<\/p>\n So why didn’t an engagement happen sooner? It turns out, it was all up to Linn.<\/p>\n “That would be up to him,” McEntire\u00a0shared during an appearance<\/a> on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen<\/em> when asked about potential marriage plans.<\/p>\n “I’ve been married twice. He’s never been married,” she continues. “So if he wants to, that’s totally up to him.”<\/p>\n It sounds like it didn’t take long for the country singer and the CSI: Miami<\/em> star to discuss the possibility of tying the knot. In 2021, McEntire say they not only talked about walking down the aisle, they joked about what the ceremony would look like<\/a>.<\/p>\n “We’ve talked about it and giggled about it,” she told Extra<\/em> at the time. “We thought if we ever did have a ceremony we’d have to have a 2 o’clock, 4 o’clock, 6 o’clock and an 8 o’clock because we have so many acquaintances and family.”<\/p>\n Details about the couple’s nuptials have yet to be revealed.
