After 50-plus years of shattering boundaries, Queen<\/a> guitarist Brian May<\/a> has one more frontier he’d like to conquer: a residency at the Las Vegas Sphere<\/a>.<\/p>\n \u201c\u200aI\u2019m very keen on the Sphere,\u201d May told Rolling Stone<\/a><\/em>. \u201cIt\u2019s got my mind working. I sat there watching the Eagles<\/a>, thinking, \u2018We should do this. The stuff that we could bring to this would be stupendous.\u2019 So, yeah, I would like to do it. We\u2019re having conversations.\u201d<\/p>\n The idea of a residency particularly appeals to May, who’s hungry to keep performing but exhausted by the rigors and monotony of touring.<\/p>\n \u201c\u200aI\u2019ve had 50 years of touring and there\u2019s a part of me that thinks it\u2019s enough,\u201d\u00a0he said. \u201cI don\u2019t like the idea that you wake up in your hotel room and you\u2019re trapped. I had a few experiences recently where stuff happened at home with my family and I could not go home. It got under my skin and I just thought, \u2018I\u2019m not sure if I want this anymore.\u2019 I feel like I\u2019ve given up my freedom too many times. So my feeling at the moment is I don\u2019t want to tour as such. I still want to play shows. I still want to innovate.\u201d<\/p>\n READ MORE:<\/strong> Top 10 Brian May Queen Songs<\/a><\/p>\n May does not take the ability to play shows or innovate for granted after having a minor stroke<\/a> last year that left him briefly unable to move his left arm.<\/p>\n \u201cAll of a sudden, out of the blue, I didn\u2019t have any control over this arm,” he revealed last September. “So it was a little scary, I have to say.\u201d<\/p>\n In classically understated British fashion, the guitarist added:\u00a0\u201cI didn\u2019t want anything surrounding it.
