\n\tJason Aldean<\/a> and his wife Brittany performed a cover of Luke Bryan in tribute to conservative activist Charlie Kirk<\/a>, who was fatally shot<\/a> during a public event at Utah Valley University on Sept. 10.<\/p>\n \n\tCaptioning the short video clip with a heart emoji and \u201cFor Charlie,\u201d the Aldeans are seen singing Bryan\u2019s wistful \u201cDrink a Beer\u201d accompanied by Jason Aldean performing the song on acoustic guitar.<\/p>\n \n\t\u201cFunny how the good ones go\/Too soon, but the good Lord knows\/The reasons why I guess,\u201d Aldean sings the opening lines with his wife joining in for harmonies in the clip. The pair, who look to be at home in the black-and-white clip, also take turns on some lines on a verse. Written by Brett Beavers and Chris Stapleton, the Bryan-fronted track was a hit back in 2014, when it topped Billboard\u2019s Country Airplay chart for two weeks.<\/p>\n
