\n\tThere are quite a few records across Halsey<\/a>\u2018s debut album, Badlands, <\/em>that require an exhaustive exertion of energy when coming alive on stage. \u201cGasoline,\u201d \u201cCastle,\u201d and \u201cControl,\u201d in particular, call for both the musician and her audience to give it their all. Halsey will perform these songs, along with some career deep cuts and B-sides, when she performs the album in its entirety on the Back to Badlands Tour.<\/a> In anticipation of the show, she has been undergoing chemotherapy treatments to ensure she can rise to the occasion.<\/p>\n \n\tLast year, Halsey revealed that they were diagnosed<\/a> with lupus and a rare T-cell lymphoproliferative disorder in 2022. After battling both quietly for two years, the singer-songwriter let fans in <\/a>on their secret with The Great Impersonator<\/em>,<\/a> their fifth studio album, released this past October. She\u2019s keeping them up to speed as she heads into the anniversary tour, too. \u201cJust did another few sessions of chemo, had a new port placed,\u201d Halsey listed off in a recent TikTok. \u201cWe just put the Back to Badlands show together, and it\u2019s gonna be unbelievable, so amazing.\u201d<\/p>\n \n\tThe list of updates continued with notes about Halsey\u2019s upcoming 31st birthday (\u201cI\u2019m so busy, I haven\u2019t even honestly thought about it at all), tour rehearsals (scheduled to begin \u201cvery soon\u201d), and the tour setlist. \u201cI\u2019m so excited about it,\u201d they shared. \u201cI\u2019m bringing back a ton of really fun nostalgic little references from the very first Badlands <\/em>tour. I\u2019m playing the entire album, plus a bunch of other extra fun ones.\u201d<\/p>\n \n\tHonoring Badlands <\/em>with a new live show was on the list of milestones Halsey worried she wouldn\u2019t be able to complete when she first got sick. \u201cIt\u2019s all I ruminated on at the time, all the stuff that I wanted to do and might not get the chance to do,\u201d she recently told Rolling Stone<\/a><\/em>. \u201cBadlands was definitely one of them. I was just like, I would have loved to have made the \u2018Drive\u2019 video. I would have loved to have done an anniversary tour.\u201d<\/p>\n
