\n\tMar\u00eda Zardoya is stepping away from the Mar\u00edas for her next release \u2014 and it\u2019s about to get extra personal. On Wednesday, the indie-pop star announced that she\u2019ll release her album Melt<\/em>, under her solo project, Not for Radio<\/a>, on Oct. 10.<\/p>\n \n\t\u201cMy intention with this project was to make music for the love of experimenting, far from home, fully in the moment, open to whatever stream of consciousness unfolded around us,\u201d Zardoya wrote on Instagram. \u201cAnd that\u2019s exactly what we did in the snowy woods, tucked away, as ice melted beneath our feet and as we melted into the songs. What grew from the melted ice is this album.\u201d<\/p>\n \n\tZardoya recorded the album in January 2025 at Flying Cloud Recordings in upstate New York, working with Sam Evian and Luca Buccellati to make an album that unfolded from unplugging and \u201cimmersing themselves in nature and music.\u201d Melt<\/em> will feature ten tracks, including songs titled \u201cSlip,\u201d \u201cMy Turn,\u201d \u201cMagnet,\u201d \u201cVueltas,\u201d and \u201cWater on Your Nose.\u201d It\u2019s being released via Atlantic Records.<\/p>\n \n\tOn Instagram, Zardoya wrote: \u201cI\u2019ll cherish those moments forever. It was scary branching out on my own, but I felt so supported, understood, and protected by you.\u201d <\/p>\n
