First, Cohen inquired how much money Carey makes off of \u201cAll I Want for Christmas Is You,\u201d a query that she gracefully dodged. He then asked for her reaction to Nick Cannon saying he insured his balls for 10 million dollars. \u201cLord, help me,\u201d she said before asking for the next question. <\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-line-height-copy  lrv-a-font-body-l   \">\n\t\u201cThis summer, a music producer claimed the real reason why you and Eminem started beefing was because he approached you about playing his mom in <em>8 Mil<\/em>e,\u201d Cohen said. \u201cIs there any truth to that?\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-line-height-copy  lrv-a-font-body-l   \">\n\t\u201cFrom what I heard there is truth to that,\u201d Carey replied. \u201cBut I don\u2019t think that he actually\u2014well, who knows who approached who.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-line-height-copy  lrv-a-font-body-l   \">\n\t\u201cBut did that ignite the beef?\u201d Cohen asked. <\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-line-height-copy  lrv-a-font-body-l   \">\n\t\u201cUm, no,\u201d Carey responded. \u201cI mean, maybe. It depends what he\u2019s thinking. I really don\u2019t care. Like, whatever he\u2019s said, then I\u2019m that, fine. Not really. He claimed he introduced her to Eminem and recalled the rapper wanting to cast Carey in <em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/t\/8-mile\/\" id=\"auto-tag_8-mile\" data-tag=\"8-mile\">8 Mile<\/a><\/em>, released in 2002. He said Eminem wanted her to play his character\u2019s mother despite only being four years older than him.
