The judge said Combs \u201chas expressed remorse for some things,\u201d but not for what he\u2019s been convicted of, which is transporting people to engage in commercial sex acts.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-line-height-copy  lrv-a-font-body-l   \">\n\tIn another key moment, the judge said he believed the court is allowed to consider certain evidence brought into Combs\u2019 trial in relation to his acquitted charges of racketeering and sex trafficking, according to <em>The New York Times.<\/em> The judge also reportedly overruled the defense\u2019s objection to probation officials referring to Combs\u2019 two ex-girlfriends and the male escorts linked to his convictions as \u201cvictims.\u201d <\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-line-height-copy  lrv-a-font-body-l   \">\n\tThe rulings were notable because acceptance of guilt and consideration of conduct brought under acquitted charges were two major battlegrounds in the sentencing briefs submitted by both sides ahead of Friday\u2019s hearing. They\u2019re expected to be key factors as the judge weighs the 14-month sentence recommended by Combs\u2019 defense and the 11-year sentence requested by prosecutors. Combs\u2019 request for <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/music\/music-news\/sean-diddy-combs-sentencing-request-substance-abuse-1235431457\/\">no more than 14 months<\/a> in prison would essentially amount to a sentence of time served and ensure his near-immediate release. His defense filed a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/music\/music-news\/yung-miami-supports-sean-combs-letter-sentencing-1235433226\/\">tranche of letters<\/a> from supporters and family
