{"id":48474,"date":"2025-10-07T12:56:07","date_gmt":"2025-10-07T12:56:07","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/musicianvoice.com\/index.php\/2025\/10\/07\/bad-company-albums-ranked-worst-to-best\/"},"modified":"2025-10-07T12:56:07","modified_gmt":"2025-10-07T12:56:07","slug":"bad-company-albums-ranked-worst-to-best","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/musicianvoice.com\/index.php\/2025\/10\/07\/bad-company-albums-ranked-worst-to-best\/","title":{"rendered":"Bad Company Albums Ranked Worst to Best"},"content":{"rendered":"<p> <br \/>\n<\/p>\n<div>\n<p>In some ways, in an era of supergroups,\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/ultimateclassicrock.com\/tags\/bad-company\/\" target=\"_blank\">Bad Company<\/a>\u00a0was the preeminent gathering of rock &#8216;n&#8217; roll royalty.<\/p>\n<p>Formed by singer <a href=\"https:\/\/ultimateclassicrock.com\/tags\/paul-rodgers\/\" target=\"_blank\">Paul Rodgers<\/a> and drummer Simon Kirke, both from British blues-based rockers <a href=\"https:\/\/ultimateclassicrock.com\/tags\/free\/\" target=\"_blank\">Free<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/ultimateclassicrock.com\/tags\/mott-the-hoople\/\" target=\"_blank\">Mott the Hoople<\/a> guitarist Mick Ralphs and bassist Boz Burrell, previously\u00a0in <a href=\"https:\/\/ultimateclassicrock.com\/tags\/king-crimson\/\" target=\"_blank\">King Crimson<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>From their formation in 1973, they immediately attracted the attention of notorious <a href=\"https:\/\/ultimateclassicrock.com\/tags\/led-zeppelin\/\" target=\"_blank\">Led Zeppelin<\/a> manager Peter Grant. The connection led to their signing with the band&#8217;s Swan Song Records. Their\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/ultimateclassicrock.com\/bad-company-debut\/\" target=\"_blank\">self-titled debut album,<\/a>\u00a0released in 1974, was the second release from the label, following the Pretty Things&#8217;\u00a0album<em> Silk Torpedo<\/em>,<em>\u00a0<\/em>though\u00a0<em>Bad Company<\/em>\u00a0was Swan Song&#8217;s first U.S. release.<\/p>\n<p><strong>READ MORE:\u00a0<\/strong><a href=\"https:\/\/ultimateclassicrock.com\/70s-hard-rock-albums\/\" target=\"_blank\">Top 35 Hard Rock Albums of the &#8217;70s<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Bad Company&#8217;s\u00a0founding lineup made six albums, four of which made the Top 10, as you will see in the list below of Bad Company Albums Ranked.\u00a0After 1982&#8217;s disappointing <em><a href=\"https:\/\/ultimateclassicrock.com\/bad-company-rough-diamonds-album\/\" target=\"_blank\">Rough Diamonds<\/a><\/em>, Rodgers and Burrell left the band, leaving Ralphs and Kirke to continue with\u00a0a pair of other singers for another half-dozen albums through the mid-&#8217;90s.<\/p>\n<p>The original quartet reunited to record four new songs for a Bad Company retrospective in the late &#8217;90s and then went on tour. Their reunion was short-lived, however. (Burrell died in 2006.) Over the next decade and a half, Rodgers, Ralphs and Kirke, in varying configurations, got together for occasional tours\u00a0and performances to play their old songs.
