Two of the best hip-hop producers in the game today are joining forces for a full-length collaboration.<\/p>\n
The Alchemist<\/a> and Hit-Boy<\/a> have announced they\u2019re dropping a joint album called Goldfish<\/em> on October 24 via EMPIRE.<\/p>\n The project, which will see the two beatmaker-MCs rapping over each other\u2019s beats \u00e0 la J Dilla<\/a> and Madlib<\/a>\u2018s Jaylib<\/em>, will also be accompanied by a short film of the same name.<\/p>\n According to a press release, the film will feature appearances from Danny Trejo (Heat<\/em>, Con Air<\/em>), Simon Rex (Scary Movie 3<\/em>) and others, and follows \u201ca squad of hit men disguised as carpet cleaners attempting to leave a life of crime in a chaotic flurry of events.\u201d<\/p>\n As for the album itself, The Alchemist and Hit-Boy kickstarted the rollout last week with the release of the lead single \u201cBusiness Merger.\u201d<\/a><\/p>\n Featuring thumping, horn-laced production from Uncle Al, the high-energy song found the dynamic duo trading clever, confident verses \u2014 reminding fans they\u2019re as nice on the mic as their rapper counterparts.<\/p>\n The Alchemist and Hit-Boy\u2019s chemistry is no surprise given they\u2019ve already released two joint projects together: the three-song Theodore & Andre<\/em> EP and Black & Whites<\/em>, a collaboration with Hit-Boy\u2019s father and fellow rapper Big Hit<\/a>.<\/p>\n The pair also dropped the one-off single \u201cSlipping Into Darkness\u201d and split production credits on Benny The Butcher<\/a>\u2018s Def Jam debut Everybody Can\u2019t Go<\/em>.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n\n<\/blockquote>\n
