\n\tRush<\/a> fans still recovering from the shock of learning that the band will be back <\/a>on the road next year for the first time since the death of drummer\/lyricist Neil Peart may have to adjust their 2026 plans once again: Geddy Lee<\/a> and Alex Lifeson<\/a> announced today that they\u2019re doubling the length of their Fifty Something tour in the face of \u201cincredible demand,\u201d adding 11 new shows.<\/p>\n The expansion adds two shows each in Los Angeles, Fort Worth, Chicago, New York, and Toronto, plus one additional date in Cleveland. Mexico City remains a single show. The five major U.S. and Canadian markets now get four shows apiece, while Cleveland gets two. The tour marks Lee and Lifeson\u2019s first full shows together since winding down Rush\u2019s last tour in 2015, and will feature German virtuoso Anika Nilles<\/a> taking over on drums. Each \u201cevening with\u201d performance will include two sets drawn from a pool of 35 songs.<\/p>\n \n\tAt the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame event where Rush announced the tour, Lee revealed the turning point came from casual jam sessions<\/a>. \u201cWe were laughing so hard, and we were enjoying it so much, and it was almost like playing those songs dispelled the dark clouds,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n \n\tLifeson said he found himself re-energized by the complex material. \u201cTo be challenged with that again was really, really exciting,\u201d he told the Cleveland crowd. \u201cAnd the more we started rehearsing and playing, the more I just fell in love with the idea of playing again.\u201d<\/p>\n \n\tThe tour launches June 7, 2026, at the Kia Forum in Los Angeles \u2014 the same venue where Rush played their final show with Peart on Aug. 1, 2015. Artist presales begin October 13, with general on-sale starting October 17.<\/p>\n
